College attending:


 Before coming to the US, Chris lived with his grandmother in Ghana.  After the death of his mother, Chris’s father had come to the US with the hope of making a better life for his family.  Slowly, he sent for his children.  Chris was finally reunited with his father and brothers at the age of 14, shortly before his freshman year.  His father stressed the importance of education and Chris worked hard at his studies. Sadly, his time with his father was again cut short. His father developed colon cancer   and died early in his senior year.  In spite of this tragedy, Chris remains optimistic and dedicated to the goal of a college degree.  A quiet, steady student¸ Chris, with the help of the Foundation scholarship, is on his way to achieving his dream.
